We could hardly believe he lives just around the corner, because his silkie smooth R&B infused melodic footwork is not a sound you would normally expect in our techno capital.
Every now and then he would share another track, and it didn t take long for Chicago’s Crissy Murderbot to sign him to his new Loose Squares label. A big sign of approval. We re delighted we ve got the honour of presenting a special pre-release Showcase of his highly anticipated first EP, which also included a remix by our homeböy Slick Shoota. Outlook Festival Dj Champion Nightjarblessed us with a banging 130 bpm set last November and might pitch things up to 140 bpm this time. The reason why thousands of faithful listeners chose to wake up with his Grimey breakfast show on Rinse FM for 5 years. A UK Bass specialist and Funky House pioneer, Scratcha’s album Pretty Ugly surprised many. A contemporary masterpiece that moves away from Funky and brings back an early Broken Beat feel that hypnotically blends with psychedelic electronica and his signature soulful sound.
His latest EP Fly Juice sees Scratcha return to deep dance floor flavors..and we can’t wait to see what flavors he’ll pull out of his several hats this Saturday.

Similar to Scratcha, our Lithuanian friend VAIPER has been at the forefront of his local scene for years, pushing forward thinking music through his national radioshow, events, weekly dj gigs and live shows with his Despotin Hiphop crew. His productions are as quirky as they are funky and his dj performances as energetic as eclectic . We re very happy to welcome back Vaiper to Chesters, after his last appearance caused an outbreak of a modest case of Lithumania.
